“FOOD THAT RAWKS!” Cocktails cocktails! The Mo-Jo-Jito! A Terra Bella Cafe classic.
In 2000 I began tapering alcohol from my diet even though I missed the ceremony of it all. The corks popping, shakers rattling, and the smell of freshly muddled limes would tickle my senses, leaving me missing the ambience it once delivered. The truth is, alcohol is extremely toxic to our bodies. How can one still enjoy night life sips without forfeiting the Liver?![]()
Once my transition away from old habits was in full spin; I continued bartended for a few more years; My talents were being pushed in a new light with non alcoholic beverages.
“Another shot of wheatgrass Miss, only this time make it a double!” A friend would snicker to me. I found this to be an opportunity to develop my cosmic bartending skills for the masses that were leaning more to the greener side of things. Serving healthy tonics with old school flair was just my style. When retiring as a downtown Bar Star, I saved all my tending tools, shakers tricks and applied them in a more sustainable atmosphere. A shot of wheatgrass with an orange chaser wasn’t going to cut it out there anymore.
When Opening Terra Bella Café, I wanted to offer the public more than a smoothie and great herbal tea selection. I wanted the ambiance and drink menu to scream…”Yes! This is what I needed!”
While we are all making our way away from toxic substances and smoke filled clubs, we can be comforted in knowing we can still have our ‘Tini’s and shakers while tippin our hats to the new Cosmic bartenders out there.
The MojoJito Cocktail similar to the classic Mo-Jito will send you down memory lane, yet let you remember their names in the morning! Cheers!

Kombucha - a Nutritious Food
The Kombucha beverage should be regarded principally as a food unusually rich in nutritive properties, rather than just a health drink. As in
yogurt, the bacteria are a great source of nutrition, but in addition Kombucha has a wide range of organic acids, vitamins and enzymes that give
it its extraordinary value. It contains the range of B vitamins, particularly B1, B2, B6 and B12, that provide the body with energy, help to
process fats and proteins, and which are vital for the normal functioning of the nervous system. There is also vitamin C which is a potent
detoxifier, immune booster and enhancer of vitality.
