Mercury rolls us back into Aquarian communication joined by the direct motion of Mars in Aquarius. How will you keep your balance in a setting of humanitarian effort? Is there an outlet for what you have to offer? How do you communicate?
Astrology Forecast for the week of Feb. 26, 2007
Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 19)
Two Chinese men talking Chinese (in a western crowd). ~~sabian symbol
You are in a situation that is not relating to your unique style of contribution. Someone around you does not have the energy to even try to understand. Still you have so much energy that you need to express it somewhere. You feel confident in what you have to say and know that you have a valuable lesson to teach. Which way do you go from here? You are afraid to face your fears. Be careful, my friend, with how you try to improve your situation. If your solution is questionable, it is better to be safe than sorry. You will get caught. You never know who speaks what language. If you remain above-board in all manner of speaking you will have the best possible luck. Do not think about whether you are understood or not. Give it some thought. Adrienne Rich wrote, “I believe that words can help us move or keep us paralysed, and that our choices of language and verbal tone have something - a great deal - to do with how we live our lives and whom we end up speaking with and hearing; and that we can deflect words by trivialization, of course, but also by ritualized respect, or we can let them enter our souls and mix with the juices of our minds.”
Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20)
An x ray photograph helps with the diagnosis. ~~sabian symbol
It will be a busy week brought on by you to try to avoid worrying. The issue at hand revolves around feelings that are still caught up in the past. Whether it is a confidence issue or an ego issue, it is important to come to some kind of agreement with yourself. Your goal is self-mastery and the way to attain that is to let go of impulses and nip them in the bud before they unconsciously slip out. If you have to vent to an objective ear rather then dump your old stuff on an innocent guise, it will be best. Look at the core of the situation. Edward Hodnett said, “If you don’t ask the right questions, you don’t get the right answers. A question asked in the right way often points to its own answer. Asking questions is the ABC of diagnosis. Only the inquiring mind solves problems.”
Gemini (May 21 - Jun 20)
A cameo shows the profile of a man that suggests the outline of his country. ~~sabian symbol
On the subject of calling in the winds of change and getting some motion started, you are the expert. Variety is your spice of life and your role as a Gemini. So, naturally when the need arises you stick out your neck to be of some assistance…. then pause. There is a fear holding you back. A thought that says you will be wasting your time and you have gone far enough. What is your soul desire? You do not know right now. Thank goodness for instincts. There is a very real conflict between your ideals and reality. Reality will not change, so you will have to. Just because your environment is unflexible in its role, doesn’t mean that your role is doomed to be imposed upon. Step away calmly. Plutarch remarked, “Socrates said he was not an Athenian or a Greek, but a citizen of the world.”
Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 22)
A symbolical battle between ’swords’, the disciples of might, and ‘torches’, the disciples of enlightenment. ~~sabian symbol
Sometimes actions we take for one reason take us to a destination we least expect. This looks like it maybe a difficult week for you, dear Cancer, with plenty of opportunity for development. Starting off you won’t feel able to take the usually care with yourself or anybody else. Rising to any challenge will elicit a yawn. You know there is no sense in exchanging angry words. Yet, still you know that something needs to change and not everybody will be agreeable. That’s okay. Trust me when I tell you that after you make the necessary changes (the ones that have been due for a long time) you will find support. The fact that you didn’t come in swinging will gain you plenty of respect and honor. Events will unfold into natural growth. Fat Albert once said, “Those who sling mud, lose ground.”
Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)
Finely lettered names and mysterious lines are seen; it is a family tree. ~~sabian symbol
Where do you come from? How are you building your future? Questions beget questions. Birth begets desire. You are trying to push into some kind of insight to discover what it is you need to be communicating. Your goal is to travel through life with excitement, adventure and soul. You will accept nothing less and you’ll fight if you have to. That’s the trouble; there are people around you that are vying for leadership of the emotional climate. Your best way to create harmony this week is to pinpoint the goal that everyone shares and express the difficulties inherent in the situation. They will listen, empathise and you will all be able to move past this temporary discomfort. Alfred Korzybski said, “To ‘be’ means to be related.”
Virgo (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
A small, naked girl bends over a pond trying to catch a fish. ~~sabian symbol
It is frustrating to reach for something that you cannot have. This week will be characterized by a slippery ideal that you just can’t grasp. Possibly there is a conflict of interest that stands between you and what you desire. The situation has the choice of too many directions. You feel vulnerable and ineffective. This is truly a hard thing for me to see. Holding back for fear of getting angry or making the wrong move will surely get you nothing, yet there is still something you can do. Take the baby steps you need and gather resources. Just because you have recently been victorious, does not mean it will be advantageous to throw your weight around. Remain small. Honesty, loyalty and sincerity will get you the best possible results. Trust me on this: you will be victorious. Maybe it will be like Steven Wright said, “Last year I went fishing with Salvador Dali. He was using a dotted line. He caught every other fish.”
Libra (Sep 23 - Oct 22)
A hand, which is held out receptively, is remarkable for the suggestion of character in its prominent thumb. ~~sabian symbol
Holistic thought suggests that the thumb is a representation of the mind. I am not sure that you are aware of how you appear after this recent decision and mindset. You have no need for authority. This means no need to listen to authority, nor be an authority. What you do find necessary is to listen and that, dear Libra, will make you an authority. Your worries need not be. Your devotion, goodwill and gratitude will put you in a very powerful position this week. Keep things in balance. George Crane said, “Congealed thinking is the forerunner of failure . . . make sure you are always receptive to new ideas. -”
Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)
Crowds coming down the mountain to listen to one inspired man. ~~sabian symbol
People are more than willing to give you recognition this week. Often, though, inspired words are not necessarily popular words. Are you afraid? Yes. Is this going to stop you? No. There is a possibility that you will have visions arriving in your heart of a vague, yet important subconscious recollection. Your spirit will revel in collective encouragement and celebration. Thank you, says your soul. In order to get the most out of your week try to stop. Taking action after action to manifest what is not manifesting can be awkward. Once you become still, your true leadership will be realized. Show them you can be unassuming and unselfish. Samuel Parkes Cadman said, “By whatever basis human desires are classified, the promise of an abundant life covers virtually all. To the spiritual it suggests escape from futility; to the sensuous it calls up visions of luxury; to the defeated it is a dream of success. To the idle it pledges ease; to the weary, rest; to the frightened it means safety; to the anxious, security; and to the improvident it conjures inexhaustible resources. Persuade a man that you can give him the thing he most desires and you will be his hero; offer him justification for his failures and he will be your disciple; assure him a boundless supply of “loaves and fishes” and he will seek to make you king.”
Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)
A retired sea captain watches ships entering and leaving the harbour. ~~sabian symbol
It will help you, Sagittarius, to keep yourself busy this week. Maybe you can entertain yourself by re-applying yourself to a forgotten hobby. Why? Because there is a problem with certain memories that have brought you to a standstill. Sure you had your chance and it was a dream come true, but you have already locked yourself into this cycle of doubt. Maybe it was because you felt that what you wanted wasn’t something you deserved. Maybe it was because what you wanted seemed to be too complex. All I know is that change is afoot. It is not change that will happen this week, but now is the time to really look at the situation. Work on something with your hands and allow your mind to objectively root out what is stopping your resolve. This will not only benefit you, but also the rest of us. Shannon Fife jokes, “The hardest people to convince they are at retirement age are children at bedtime.”
Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)
A parade of bathing beauties before large beach crowds. ~~sabian symbol
The fixed notions in your environment can be very hard to challenge. You, Capricorn, have a belief in respect and a hard-won reputation. After careful thought, the conclusion you will exercise has its roots in “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.” Nothing wrong with that. You can get your point across to everyone without broaching sensitive subjects. There will plenty of time for that later. What is more important to you is that you portray yourself as relaxed, effectual and graceful. I would say this is a good decision. Certain aspects of yourself still need to find definition. Finger pointing will only make you one of “them”, but not in the healthy sense that you desire. Try staying in the moment this week. Easier said than done. When you feel yourself thinking of the past or the future, call your spirit back and focus on what you are now doing. Ninon De L-Enclos said, “That which is striking and beautiful is not always good; but that which is good is always beautiful.”
Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
A woman has risen out of the ocean, a seal is embracing her. ~~sabian symbol
It will be fascinating to watch the dichotomy of your expression this week. You have shown us, beyond a shadow of your doubt, how well you can transform something you are working towards. A cool head with a detached sureness defines how you are moving forward. Mercury moves into your sign for a very short retrograde period and will be playing tricks on your communication. There is a fullness in your heart regarding change. However, you feel a vague sensation that you maybe running underwater. What can you truly express? The sense of adventure you feel is not corresponding with how you think. The situation calls for a good healthy look at inexperience. Allow yourself to be told what to do or be yanked back into the place you were before. The insight you will receive, given your absolute cooperation, will help to get you to the next level. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Everything teaches transition, transference, metamorphosis: therein is human power, in transference, not in creation; and therein is human destiny, not in longevity but in removal, we dive and reappear in new places.”
Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 20)
A mature woman, keeping up with the times, having her hair bobbed. ~~sabian symbol
Things do not always manifest the way we all want them to. Perhaps this is a good thing. It is challenge that helps us strive beyond our capabilities and presentations. You have the groups attention this week and they are waiting for you to speak. Reaching deep into your soul, you are trying to figure out a way to communicate with everyone’s best interests involved and still maintain self-preservation. You know how to coordinate your talents and resources to work in your favor. They say you cannot teach an old dog new tricks, but this week you will prove them wrong. No fear, my love! Step out there and combine your energies with the best possible alignment. Ted Koppel said, “There’s harmony and inner peace to be found in following a moral compass that points in the same direction, regardless of fashion or trend.”
