Mercury will be changing positions and moving into Taurus later in the week. As it is in close proximity with the Sun, this will open communication and expression within community efforts. At the same time Venus in Gemini will be squaring Mars in Pisces. What does this mean for you?

Astrology forecast for the week of April 23, 2007
The issue is about getting rid of what you do not want. Do you have enough energy to play ball? Your head is not in the game and therefore you are not dribbling well. There is something else on your mind and you would rather sit home. You have to decide for the sake of the team. When I don’t want to do something, my mother always said to keep in mind, ‘its only an hour more before I can do what I want’ or ‘its only a day’. This seems to work pretty well. Find an attitude of indifference and it will allow you to play ball with a cooperative nature. Limitations are a part of life. They make us stronger. Accept people for themselves and their limitations. Bud Wilkinson said, “If a team is to reach its potential, each player must be willing to subordinate his personal goals to the good of the team.”

The issues is about happiness. Support for the birth of love surrounds you and your community. Everybody wants a piece of the love action. In turn, you are finding that you make too much effort to be spontaneous. Spontaneity does not take effort. Still, you will get what you wish for and thus will be distracted from the real work you need to do emotionally. You will need more understanding than you want to contribute to really grasp the love you are trying for. This is an opportunity for learning and the learning is, indeed, an important lesson. William Shakespeare wrote, “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is wing’d Cupid painted blind.”
The issue this week is about doubt. There is a full-scale creative process in progress. Everyone agrees to give you full expression of what you want to make. You, however, are having a hard time communicating with real love in mind. Maybe you are feeling separation and maybe you are feeling your role is unfair. Still, you are focused on what you have to do and are working very hard at making an effort. The way to continue is to continue. Do not think about the end product. Do not think about preserving what you have. Focus on what you are doing from moment to moment. Peter Marshall said, “When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.”
The issue is about prayer. You are longing for something, yet afraid to do anything. Perhaps, once you try you are afraid of the responsibility you will then have to face. It is adventure and new frontiers that you seek and the impatience in waiting is starting to get to you. You want to be free. Stay where you are right now. Your position is stable and this will give you more of a chance to make better plans. This is a foundation that you can build upon. Be grateful for the opportunities your present situation provides for you. Oliver Goldsmith wrote, “And as a bird each fond endearment tries To tempt its new-fledg’d offspring to the skies, He tried each art, reprov’d each dull delay, Allur’d to brighter worlds, and led the way.”

The issue this week is about action. You may have a few more steps to go through, but you will be offered a great idea. There is an eagerness to explore new things. Luckily, you will have all the support that you need. You won’t have to boast about how you are the best or about what you have achieved. In fact, it will be best to be quiet about your goals and move forward with the light of your shining spirit. Alpo Leopold said, “A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise.”
The issue this week is about anxiety. Insecurity and a lack of confidence fill you with confusion in regard to how to use your power. You realize that you are the one that is doing all the talking and everyone else is not offering up any thoughts. You have had enough of the drama, but are unclear on how to handle the emotional climate. It won’t be long before communication gets better. Meanwhile, people are pointing and gossiping about information that is false. Try to be flexible. Step around, over or stop when faced with obstacles. Keep your thoughts, especially the ones you feel vehement about, to yourself. This situation is temporary. Hold in mind what Thich Nhat Hahn offers,
“Life has left her footprints on my forehead.
But I have become a child again this morning.
The smile, seen through leaves and flowers,
is back to smooth away the wrinkles,
as the rains wipe away footprints on the beach.
Again a cycle of birth and death begins.”
The issue is about doing whatever you can to win. You are open to possibilities, yet you are not open to discussion. Opinions are flooding in about the moral code attached to your decisions. This makes you feel a wee bit hesitant. Do not waste your resources on trivial matters. There is no need to be swayed. You have to be full within yourself, because you will not find satisfaction on external pleasures. Decide. What’s it going to be: the high road or the low road? Once you have made your decision, know that your work is not done. Jack Kerouac wrote, “… a world full of rucksack wanderers, Dharma Bums refusing to subscribe to the general demand that they consume production and therefore have to work for the privilege of consuming, all that crap they didn’t really want anyway such as refrigerators, TV sets, cars, at least new fancy cars, certain hair oils and deodorants and general junk you finally always see a week later in the garbage anyway, all of them imprisoned in a system of work, produce, consume, work, produce, consume, I see a vision of a great rucksack revolution thousands or even millions of young Americans wandering around with rucksacks, going up to mountains to pray, making children laugh and old men glad, making young girls happy and old girls happier, all of ‘em Zen Lunatics who go about writing poems that happen to appear in their heads for no reason and also by being kind and also by strange unexpected acts keep giving visions of eternal freedom to everybody and to all living creatures…”
The issue this week is about levels of cooperation. You really want to get something done, but are exhausted at having been tugged constantly for information. The view of what is going on with everyone is clear and you will be making decisions based on these findings. You feel very sure. It feels as though these circumstances are not going to turn out well. Holistically, it is suggested that baldness occurs when a person ‘pulls out their hair’ symbolically, trying to control a situation. This isn’t the time to be strutting around and demonstrating how much you know and how much success you have. Small displays of your personal power will be much more effective. Concentrate on simplicity. There is a delicate situation happening. Be careful. When all is said and done, you will find your week turning out better than you expect. Orison Swett Marden said, “Who can estimate the real wealth that inheres in a fine character. . . . How base and mean money and huge estates look in comparison. All other things fade before it. Its touch is like magic to win friendship, influence, power. Can you afford to chill, to discourage, to crush out of your life this sweet, sensitive plant, which would flower in your nature and give added glory to your life, for the sake of a few dollars, a little questionable fame?”
