Dream a Little Dream

dreamowl.jpg

Dear Jasmin

I just went to lay down for a nap and I had a dream that I was being fed by a mother bird while I was in my nest. I can recall a sensation in the back of my throat as she fed me. The bird was both giant and white. The food was both fleshy and milky… (opalish looking). It was very strange..

Dear Dreamer

You have had a very symbolic dream. The message here is loud and clear. Sometimes those cat naps are best for receiving messages because we don’t go too far into dreamland, yet we are deep enough to be in an altered state.

This dream puts you in a receiving position. In some way you were feeling small, at least smaller than the giant bird feeding you. You are being asked to recognize your position. The feeling you expressed in your throat may be there to remind you to honor your voice and speak up for what it is you need. A young bird may need the nourishment of its mother and at the same time be overwhelmed with its new position in life. By taking in this milk you will grow and become ready to fly like the one feeding you.

I also see that you were ready for this nurturance. You easily opened to accept what it was that was being offered to you. At times it is good for us to sit comfortably in our safe nest and receive. It would be good for you to remember how it felt for you to be fed by this bird. Were you greatful, excited, and feeling fulfilled? Or were you scared, overwhelmed and still hungry?

It appears to me that a motherly woman or spirit of the light has flown in to feed your soul. She flew in to offer you gifts of the flesh. This seems to be a straight forward gift of self. If you are developing a connection with someone consider this her way of announcing her intentions. If that is not the case then remain open for what is to come your way.

White is often symbolic of purity and light. Common white birds are doves, snowy owls, or swans. The dove represents peace and regeneration. The owl represents the subconscious and renewal. The swan represents grace and trust. You will know which bird it was by closing your eyes to remember the beak as it leaned in to feed you. In any case the opalescent mother’s milk is most likely Alaya, the milk of the universe. All things together in form of liquid light. A most honorable offering if one was ever made. You clearly have a woman interested in mothering. Set your intentions with her, be clear so that she knows how best to direct this energy she is expressing. Speak your truth and do not fear the outcome. What is meant to be will be.

Sweet dreams!

Dear Jasmin

WOW! You’re good… really good! I was thinking of it as a dove, but it’s beak was curled and talon like. It was an owl.
