Astrology forecast for the week of April 30, 2007
The issue is about who is on top and who is on the bottom. You are having difficulty trusting others. The truth is that you are talking too much and therefore cannot possibly know what is happening inside of your head. This is a time of instability. Your emotions are insecure. Your spirit yearns for adventure. Be careful. What you think is holding you back is not. What you think is giving you freedom is not. Be clear about your priorities. Things are about to erupt. Step back. Take a timeout. Strengthen yourself. D. H. Lawrence said, “Those that go searching for love only make manifest their own lovelessness, and the loveless never find love, only the loving find love, and they never have to seek for it.”
The issue this week has to do with consequences. You are not satisfied with your work, nor the level of cooperation you are getting. The power to change your mind through a strong and healing force of will is currently setting the tone. There is a surrender happening. You have emotional goals that stretch out past tomorrow. You want your life to flourish. Reactions must be measured. There will not be a change until your attitude changes. The decline that is happening in your life is a product of reality. This is the time to trim off elements that have no use. Eleanor Perenyi said, “To garden is to let optimism get the better of judgment.”
The issue this week has to do with a regretful withdrawal. You are certain that your path in life now is correct. However, you are not trusting the thoughts going through your head. Your spirit wants to branch out. You are even somewhat reckless. What you value and what you choose is in direct correlation to your emotions. Watch what you do, sweet Gemini. By getting involved with a new drama, you are only hurting yourself. This has nothing to do with your real path in life now. Be aware. Geese have a continuous awareness of the other geese around them. They each take turns leading the way. Conscientiousness will lend you impeccable timing and attention to detail. Don’t let this gift slip to the wayside. There is an old Chinese proverb that says, “Not the cry, but the flight of the wild duck, leads the flock to fly and follow.”
This week is about strength. Your creative communication is at a veritable high. There is an idea in your mind that is coming to term. Your heart hesitates. On behalf of your heart, you keep still. What you thought, perhaps, would be a union was amiss from the very beginning. No matter what you try, the result will be the same. Think about this. Contemplate. You will be able to contribute profound advice after much thought has brought you to a place of acceptance. Gail Godwin said, “Good teaching is one-fourth preparation and three-fourths theater.”
The issue is about going where you want without neglecting your responsibilities. You don’t feel free to be spontaneous. There are decisions made based on what you see. Your vision is clear. There is a cool, discerning quality to you this week. Action will be initiated on behalf of your emotions. Do not relax your resolve. If you get too big for your britches you will make a mistake. You have the energy to create. Use it. Emily Dickenson wrote, “To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else.”

The issue is about what you no longer want. Initially, you will go after what you want. Then, you will begin to build all kinds of limitations up in your head. Do you really want this kind of responsibility? You feel overwhelmed. Emotional obligations and rules cause you to seek freedom. There is good news. Just when it seems to be too much, the universe offers you a gift. What has been a burden for you has helped you to build upon your resources. It is the right thing to join forces with others that can help. You will be able to contribute your part and they will contribute theirs. Together you create a veritable force. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “The only gift is a portion of thyself . . . the poet brings his poem; the shepherd his lamb. . . .”
The issue this week is about simplicity. You will get your wish. Though you will keep some of your thought to yourself, this is a good thing. Not everything, mind you, will be hidden. There are soul desires inside you that instigate very strong feelings. Your emotions feel surreal and your subconscious will be acting as looking glass. First in line will not be your position. If you don’t let this bother you and instead let your goodness permeate you from the inside out, you will be able to do your job to the best of your ability. Modesty will help you prepare for the limitations that are in your near future. Be careful what you ingest. John Ruskin said, “Cheerfulness is as natural to the heart of a man in strong health as color to his cheek; and wherever there is habitual gloom there must be either bad air, unwholesome food, improperly severe labor, or erring habits of life.”
This week is about taking care of yourself. You are feeling as if someone is going to get hurt. All of your feelings and all of your values are tangled up in your cocoon. It doesn’t feel as though anyone is reacting appropriately to what is being born. Still, you feel soft and in no way restrictive. You have the beautiful quality of live and let live. Others are blessed to have you in their lives because you offer so much. Know that life has its ups and downs. Continue in a positive frame of mind, even when your life offers a decrease in resources. Julie Barnes wrote,
“There is a rhythm throughout the universe. The pulsation throbs within every heart, during each moment of ecstacy, in every birth contraction. The rhythm exists in the pull of the ocean tide, around the weight of each raindrop, woven into every cocoon.
The sequence, the progression, is what we call time. Our time of influence affects the expansion of the universe. Heaven is eager to learn how we will add to the growth of eternal existence.
God is ready to respond as you take part in creation.
The rhythm never ends, it only strengthens and expands.
This life force is you. You are the mystery.
You are the journey. You are exquisite.
You are here.
Now, it’s your time.”
The issue this week is about hesitation. You are moving into an opportunity for growth. There are many choices available. There are many opinions available. It feels as though the load is very heavy. So heavy, it feels like it is weighing down your spirit. You have many abilities and special know-hows that make you perfect for the role of leader. A day-to-day mindfulness and practice will be what builds you up further. Take time for yourself now to organize, so that you may continue with a lighter load. Lao Tzu said, “…The sage, traveling all day, Does not lose sight of his baggage. Though there are beautiful things to be seen, He remains unattached and calm.”
The issue has to do with long-term goals. Your vision is very clear now. It feels as though your soul has made its decision. It is time to continue. However, you are having a very difficult time coping with your fears. There is something in your past that is holding you back. Your in a good position, although there has been no challenge to set you off your pace. Dignity and honesty get you many affirmative nods. Be thankful for the blessings that have passed through your life. This is what will help you through when you have finally reached your limit. You are going to have to take action. Thich Nhat Hanh wrote,
“Please Call Me By My True Names
Don’t say that I will depart tomorrow-
even today I am still arriving.
Look deeply: every second I am arriving
to be a bud on a Spring branch,
to be a tiny bird, with still-fragile wings,
learning to sing in my new nest,
to be a caterpillar in the heart of a flower,
to be a jewel hiding itself in a stone.
I still arrive,
in order to laugh and to cry,
to fear and to hope.
The rhythm of my heart
is the birth and death of all that is alive.
I am a mayfly metamorphosing
on the surface of the river.
And I am the bird
that swoops down to swallow the mayfly.
I am a frog swimming happily
in the clear water of a pond.
And I am the grass-snake
that silently feeds itself on the frog.
I am the child in Uganda, all skin and bones,
my legs as thin as bamboo sticks.
And I am the arms merchant,
selling deadly weapons to Uganda.
I am the twelve-year-old girl,
refugee on a small boat,
who throws herself into the ocean
after being raped by a sea pirate.
And I am the pirate,
my heart not yet capable of seeing and loving.
I am a member of the politburo,
with plenty of power in my hands.
And I am the man who has to pay
his “debt of blood” to my people
dying slowly in a forced-labor camp.
My joy is like Spring, so warm
it makes flowers bloom all over the Earth.
My pain is like a river of tears,
so vast it fills the four oceans.
Please call me by my true names,
so I can hear all my cries and laughter at once,
so I can see that my joy and pain are one.
Please call me by my true names,
so I can wake up
and the door of my heart
can be left open,
the door of compassion.”
The issue is transformation. You have taken action on behalf of an idea. However, you are overwhelmed by the tendencies of the storm this has created. Hiding under a chair looks very appealing. It is your intention to stay in one spot until it all blows over. This is a very good idea. Be gentle. You have quite a bit of power this week. Do not worry about what direction your life is turning. If you continue with a sweet reserve, you will find everything to be alright. This week will show you all sorts of extremes and indulgences. Steer clear. Become self-reliant. Robert Louis Stevenson said, “Quiet minds cannot be perplexed or frightened, but go on in fortune or misfortune at their own private pace, like a clock in a thunderstorm.”
