The issue is about not receiving. You are very sure about your purpose. However, you are using your intellect to avoid surrendering to what is real. This is because you have been caught off guard and knocked over by what life has offered you. There is a detour in the direction you are headed. Expressing your feelings is difficult. Maybe you are not supposed to be with certain people. Maybe it does not fufill your needs. However, it is important to realize there are still reasons to join together with them. Change is coming. One of my heroes is the clown-activist, Wavy Gravy. He is best known for a role that he played in 1969, when he was the master of ceremonies at the Woodstock festival. Since then, he’s been a social activist, a major “fun-d” raiser for good causes, a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor, an unofficial hospital chaplain, and the founder of a children’s camp for inner city kids. Every four years he campaigns as a candidate for president of the United States, under the pseudonym of Nobody, making speeches all over the country, with slogans like “Nobody for President,” “Nobody’s Perfect,” and “Nobody Should Have That Much Power.” He’s a seriously funny person, and a person who is serious about helping others. “Like the best of clowns,” wrote a reporter in The Village Voice, “Wavy Gravy makes a big fool of himself as is necessary to make a wiser man of you. He is one of the better people on earth.”"
The issue is about energy. You are pushing hard to have your ideas realized. The circumstances you see have paved the way for your decisions. Anxiety surrounds you due to a feeling of disconnection into something deeper. Just when you feel you have been defeated, the situation will open up. What will you do? Will you use the obstruction as a deterrent or a bridge? The choice is yours. Thomas Carlyle said, “The block of granite which is an obstacle in the pathway of the weak, becomes a steppingstone in the pathway of the strong.”
The issue is about success and helping. You have had it with being alone and are ready to share what you have learned with others. All kinds of unconscious realities have been revealed to you and it is easy to see where justice has occurred. Still, you hold back on talking about how you feel. Perhaps you feel you will be abandoned if you express your insides. The best course of action for you this week is to help and encourage others, despite your position. Let go of your ego and become the same size as the people around you. Better yet, place yourself smaller and you will be able to help plus be successful. Henry David Thoreau said, “Explore thyself. Herein are demanded the eye and the nerve.”
The issue is about not wanting to change. Despite all the obstacles, you will still go after your desires. However, it is tiresome to talk when you are not able to influence. Your flirty side will not get full expression this week because of self-consciousness. What are the rules? Do you care about the rules? When it comes to your emotions there are no rules. The obstacles are coming from you. Ask yourself why. Catherine II said, “A great wind is blowing and that gives you either imagination or a headache.”
The issue is about surrender or the lack of it. Where are you going? You have very strong feelings about the ideas that you are verbalizing. It is taking too much energy for you to express yourself. Do you trust your feelings? Where are you pointing? Everything starts with you. You are responsible for your own destiny. Change can only happen when you change yourself. Improvement will occur once you make up your mind to act. It will be a process of development that starts with a big move. Be firm. Be aware of your ego. Ed Howe once said, “The history of mankind is one long record of giving revolution another trial - and then limping back at last to sanity, safety and hard work!”
The issue is about a new beginning. Fortune is shining on and you are concentrating on new views for your life. You are feeling about as giddy as a Virgo gets about the intellectual discourse around you. However, channeling this spirit is a little uncomfortable. You would rather be alone to work out the details of your pursuits. It seems like you have done so much that you have come to a standstill. Compose yourself and continue on with strong resolve. This week is about gifts. You are very aware of the opinions of others and they hold precedence over your own. Perhaps you blame yourself. Maybe you blame others. Either way you are feeling cold about the fact that you give away more than you receive. All this effort to make something happen, is it making you happy? This week you will experience the good, the bad and the ugly. How you choose to respond will determine what you experience next. There will be an exhilirating crescendo in the song of your life when you put down any efforts to manipulate or strategize. Do not be tempted and your life will begin in a whole new way. Boy George counseled, “If you have to be in a soap opera try not to get the worst role.”
The issue has to do with trying to make sure everything is alright. You feel powerless. Inside your head you have spent quite a bit of time pondering the past and your feelings involved. There is something that doesn’t feel quite right. This week you will feel overwhelmed with your life. Where do you begin to remedy the many issues? Get help from someone who does not put themselves in a position of power. Decide from the start to be cautious, a good listener and realistic. Be firm in knowing your foundation. Allow your fear, when caught off guard, to lead you to the answers you have inside. You are going to be fine. Rabindranath Tagore said, “Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.”
The issue this week is self-doubt. You have been working very hard to achieve something. There are many ideas and many people. You barely have time for your own thoughts. A feeling of potential will keep you from making a stink about your lack of personal space. Know that your goal is not possible right now. The problem is that you have already locked yourself in by not making a change earlier. The whole situation has to come full circle before you can make the change. This will give you an opportunity to build more strength for your goals when they come around again. Take a look at yourself and be clear about what you can improve. Everyone has faults. Realizing them takes great strength. Anthony D’Angelo offers, “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
The issue is about the misuse of power. You feel overwhelmed in regard to your current surroundings. Fight or flight is on your mind. What do you have to give? Do you see an opening? With spring here, your inability to let go of a past sense of what is right or wrong will inhibit your growth. Realize that what you criticize in others is a direct reflection of your own unconscious insecurity about the very same attributes within yourself. Stay in the moment. Try not to think about what has happened before or what will happen tomorrow. You are responsible for your own life. That is enough. Jerry Chin once said, “And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.”
The issue this week is about being receptive to influence. You don’t feel particularly peaceful in your private world. It is time to make a change with what you are communicating. A sense of immediacy will lead you to try to get the help of someone stronger. There has been a lack of emotional responsibility. Realism will set in and you will see that your original plan will not work. If you realize this and are humble when you ask, someone will help you. It will take a while to accomplish your desires. Start out with diligence and patience. One big move is not going to be effective. Rumi said, “The sword of reality is the saint’s protection.”
The issue has to do with waiting until the commotion dies down before you make a move. Instinct will move you in a direction that will show you your wisdom, even if you do not know exactly what to do. You probably will apply just the tiniest amount of pressure when communicating what you want. Its not like you want to dominate the situation. You just want to get out from under the thumb of anyone who will inhibit your feelings of glee. You will be very happy this week. Surround yourself with those who have the same goals. You will be in a wonderful position, with help from higher-ups. People realize what a good person you are and therefore you will accomplish many of the things you set out to do.
