Venus, the planet of love and relationships, changes signs from Cancer to Leo. What has been held back will now be more forthcoming. Meanwhile the Sun creates even more action with an aspect to both Mars and Uranus. Where will this week take you?
Astrology forecast for the week of June 4, 2007

The issue is about returning to action. You may need to negotiate for some time to yourself. There is a hesitation in your heart. Do you follow your heart or your head? You have memories that you cannot let go. You cannot fight the forces around you and you certainly are not feeling very well. What will heal your woes? You may as well just remove yourself. This is not a time when you will be heard. There are other matters in regard to the situation that others feel more pressing. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “There are three wants which never can be satisfied: that of the rich, who wants something more; that of the sick, who wants something different; and that of the traveler, who says, “Anywhere but here.”"
The issue is justice. You are not seeing things as they really are now. Nostalgia is compromising your confidence and holding your ideas motionless in the past. You sit alone to create healing. This is best because the more you try to move forward the more you will be opposed. Find a spot where you will be able to move in any direction you want. Maybe you want to go forward. Maybe you want to move backward. Albert Schweltzer depicted an amazing story when he wrote, “A flock of wild geese had settled to rest on a pond. One of the flock had been captured by a gardener, who had clipped its wings before releasing it. When the geese started to resume their flight, this one tried frantically, but vainly, to lift itself into the air. The others, observing his struggles, flew about in obvious efforts to encourage him; but it was no use. Thereupon, the entire flock settled back on the pond and waited, even though the urge to go on was strong within them. For several days they waited until the damaged feather had grown sufficiently to permit the goose to fly. Meanwhile, the unethical gardener, having been converted by the ethical geese, gladly watched them as they finally rose together and all resumed their long flight.”
The issue is ego. Sometimes, by talking too much, we miss much of what is really going on. You feel quite soft in your usual leadership. It feels like it takes an effort to be spur of the moment, yet you still call to the winds of change. Will fate present you with the gift of its fortune? You look for impressions. You stare into the face of intuition. You want an infusion of new life. The good news is your position is stable. Developments will evolve into a consolidation of sharing. Sarah Cooner makes mention, “There is no fate, but what we create”.
The issue is about not feeling supported. You want things to be simple. That’s a Virgo life, wanting to be left alone to live your ordinary day to day. You need to feel of service and right now you don’t. The words well up from deep in your soul. And guess what….someone is listening. You have reached a certain level where you will be unable to move further until you include others in your goals. Be open to what they need and you will be able to increase your resources and gain more support in your life. Saadi of Shiraz said, “Deep in the sea are riches beyond compare. But if you seek safety, it is on the shore.”
The issue is ambivalence. There are rules. It is hard to say what you want but you think you really must. Inherent in the situation is an emotional closeness that you feel very good about. You have reached a new level….a rites of passage (if you will). Yet your soul is still in the process of revival. What a mix this week! You will be undermined, surrounded by danger and relieved of all negativity before you have a chance to say Yikes! By week’s end you will have found plenty of support and power. Choose how you to handle this medley. Catherine the Great said, “A great wind is blowing, and that gives you either imagination or a headache.”
The issue is fearing your own source of magic. These are the days of relaxation. Spring is at its midpoint and you seek nature. You seek diversity. You seek abundance. It would be wonderful if you had someone to talk to about the magic and wonder on your mind. However, your spirit is engaged in judgement. Nobody will understand your feelings. Nobody will understand what lifts your soul. Stay away from chaos this week, Scorpio. You may find some difficulties, but they will soon be lifted by unfamiliar assistance. Be grateful. Concentrate on what you have and not what you don’t have. You have the gift to create whatever you want. Use your imagination. Isaac Newton remembered, “I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”
The issue is about whether to break out of your shell. There are things in your life this week that will make you very happy. Still, your head will feel as though a catastrophe is in tow. You will feel like there is nobody to turn to and no cooperation for a spirited venture. Sometimes too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing. You are on your own with this one, Sagittarius. Carolyn Myss (She has many planets in Sag) explains, “Contain your experience with the divine so that it does not escape you but rather shapes you. Be silent. Silence will help you avoid engaging in the games of competition and illusion that regularly seduce us in the outside world. Silence also helps you avoid distraction. It helps focus the busy mind—the mind that always has to be doing something, thinking something, the mind that always has to be otherwise engaged lest it become introspective and allow the soul’s voice to override its own. The silence I am describing is a silence that you use to contain the grace you receive when you enter the Castle of your soul. This quality of silence allows you to engage in discernment. You carry this silence within you, even when you are with others. It allows you to hold your center amid the chaos of your life; it keeps you clear so that you do not do or say things you will regret or make decisions out of fear.”
The issue is depletion. You are immobilized. Who is to blame? Are there any fingers to point? Do you point at yourself? Do you point at others? You feel as though you have been steamrolled. How can you possibly pretend to feel good about any of this? You will lose something this week. My favorite part is that you will make a concerted effort not to repeat the same old emotional mistakes. You will step back. You won’t be the only one confused. Simplify, Capricorn. Simplify your reactions. Simplify your communication. And simplify your attachments. Yet give those you love reassurance. Joseph Campbell wrote, “Nietzche was the one who did the job for me. At a certain moment in his life, the idea came to him of what he called “the love of your fate.” Whatever your fate is, whatever the hell happens, you say, “This is what I need.” It may look like a wreck, but go at it as though it were an opportunity, a challenge. If you bring love to that moment — not discouragement — you will find the strength is there. Any disaster you can survive is an improvement in your character, your stature, and your life. What a privilege! This is when the spontaneity of your own nature will have a chance to flow.
Then when looking back at your life, you will see that the moments which seemed to be great failures followed by wreckage were the incidents that shaped the life you have now. You’ll see that this is really true. Nothing can happen to you that is not positive. Even though it looks and feels at the moment like a negative crisis, it is not. The crisis throws you back, and when you are required to exhibit strength, it comes.”
The issue is about holding back. I dated a man once who was half Mexican and half Native American. He had a beautiful propensity towards bead work. Stringing endlessly, he created intricate detail that took careful attention. Occasionally his mind would wander off and he would make a mistake. There was a time when this would make him crazy. He would start over or stop. However, later he re-learned what this meant for him from an elder he trusted. We all have doubts. We all have imperfections. The highest attitude to entertain is one of compassion. Surrender to your mistake. Leave it be. It is your healing bead. You, Aquarius, have a strong role as leader in your tribe. Gain their confidence by showing true qualities for guidance. Not everyone will be open to you. Still, if you think it is important you can still gain trust by standing next to those with influence. Be careful with details. Work towards mindfulness and timing. To rule in the truest sense is to serve. Glenville Kleiser once said, “Let the spirit of your work be right, and whether your task be great or small you will then have the satisfaction of knowing it is worth while.”
The issue has to do with being overly serious. What are you looking over your shoulder for? You have been working so hard. Thoughts of power arrangements are scampering through your head. How do you escape your own power? How do you escape the power of others? The spiritual care you extend to the people around you is absent now as you search for personal nourishment. You push and you push with your emotions, yet your birth feels like a breech. What are you really trying to prove? You have tried so hard that there is nothing left to try. Let go. You have nothing to prove. Chill out. Find time to stare out from the window inside your own boxed reality. There is more to life than hard work. The delicate breeze can lift your spirit into the creation of will, inspiration and personal desire. Open the window. Perhaps Emily Dickenson can offer you some words of wisdom, “I dwell in Possibility - A fairer House than Prose - More numerous of Windows - Superior -for Doors -.”
