
NEG-NOG. “FOOD THAT RAWKS” Dairy-free Holiday delight!
This Holiday season why start a fad diet or hold back from enjoying yourself. Simply swap out the not-so-nice favorites for the new, healthy and delicious!
Neg nog can be made ahead of time before your guest arrive or before you attend a party. No fuss that this drink is healthy needs to be announced when serving your (dairy -free) Neg nog. Serve it in decorative pitchers, espresso cups or nice glass serving bowls. Your friends will be delighted!
Rum may be added if you wish…
Neg Nog 2 servings
2 c almond milk (recipe below) or purchases vanilla almond milk in a pinch.
2 medium frozen banana if serving drink cold. Use fresh bananas if rserving at room temperature.
4 soft dates
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp Turmeric for color
1 tsp cinnamon
1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 TB gold flax seeds
Blend very well. Serve or store in glass container in cooler. Garnish with a dash of nutmeg or cashew-vanilla cream.

Basic almond milk.
Place 1/2 c raw almonds in water before you go to bed. When you rise, the almonds will be ready! If you do not use the almonds right away, rinse them well and place them in the fridge.
Almond milk
1 c soaked almonds (almonds will expand when soaked or sprouted)
2 c pure water. Blend well, then slowly add 5 cups more water. Continue blending for at least 3-5 minutes. Using a fine mesh straining sack, strain milk. Place back in blender to make Neg nog, or place in fridge to use later.
