During the tail end of the cold season, many people are fighting off colds even those who are eating healthy foods. Often clients ask me “what can I drink to help with this cold?!”
I see too often people assuming that a spendy bottle of fruit juice in the health isle will help with their symptoms. The truth is when the body is throwing you all the sure signs to let it heal, one has to truly let the body do it’s work. The body can heal and repair it self best by relieving some stress of digestion with proper nutrition. This calls for fresh juices! I recommend mostly green for the fighting of colds. Green juices are very healing, alkalizing and nutritious! Keep away from any bottles, pasturized juices no matter what the lable says. It’s a waste of money and offers nothing for your body.
The melon baller cocktail is a green juice with the perfect amount of sweetness without spiking the blood sugar or upsetting a body that is ill.
The first sign of a cold, drink at east 3 of these a day for 2 to 3 consecutive days depending how clean your body is to begin with.
When a person fasts (giving rest to the digestion) you may feel worse due to stirring the toxins up. Eat fresh fruit , salad or even a small baked yam to help ground yourslef.
CAUTION: Thos not use to drinking or eating fresh fruits, must fast (drink only juices) supervised carefully and only for a day or 2 consecutive days to begin with. Once the body becomes cleaner and clear, one can fast for longer periods of time without dumping too many toxins into he blood stream, symptoms resembling an even worse cold or flu.
I recommend Looking into fasting literature to further explore your healing adventures!
Never drink pastureized or bottles juices. This will hurt you if you are fasting and offers no nutrition for the body to repair.
