Sacred Scriptures: The Gospel of Thomas & Other Gnostic Texts With Rev. David Wallace
Between the 2nd and 4th centuries A.D., a rich literature emerged amongst some sects of early Christians which proposed that there was a secret, revealed knowledge of God. These teachings – thought to be transcribed from oral teachings of the first disciples of Jesus — became known as Gnosticism (“gnosis” is the Greek word for “knowledge”). Lost writings from this period were found in Egypt in 1945 – the Nag Hammadi texts – and scholars have long suggested that Christianity would look much different if it had been shaped by the ideas represented by these – pictures of a very human Jesus who was a master at Zen-like teaching, who was both informed and intimate with Mary Magdalene, who celebrated the Divine as both Mother and Father, and who taught a radical egalitarianism which prefers spiritual experience and “living the message” over mere religious observance.
Over the course of four evenings, we will read selections from the classic 2nd century Gnostic texts (purported to be written by Jesus’s twin, Judas Thomas; his brother, James; his disciple, the fisherman John, and others): The Gospel of Thomas (the major text of Gnostic experience); the Gospel of Mary Magdalene; The Secret Book of John, and others. In a seminar setting, we will look at the historic context of the early Christian church, and search for the mystic heart message of these extraordinary words – timeless, alive and as poignantly enigmatic as they are compelling – and, potentially, healing. Register in advance.

A Shaman’s Way of Healing with Alberto Villoldo, PhD
Shamans maintain that a luminous energy field surrounds the human body and holds a record of all a person’s emotional, physical and spiritual traumas, and that this energy field also offers us a blueprint indicating how we can heal. Tonight, Alberto Villoldo, one of the foremost teachers and researchers of shamanism in North America, will discuss healing practices employed for some 10,000 years by the shamans of the “new world.” He will explain how their ancient techniques constitute a practical system of energy healing that can offer us states of exceptional health and wellbeing, as well as the opportunity for conscious participation in our future evolution.

Some of the best-known spiritual teachers in the world join James Twyman in this film, offering tools on how you can apply the Moses Code to your own life. Many other films and books have focused on using the Law of Attraction to “get” the things we believe we need, eg. houses, cars or other goods. The Moses Code takes the next much more important step—how do we use this law to “give” from our soul, automatically attracting spiritual blessings into our lives. Join hundreds of thousands of people on the weekend of April 5th, viewing the film, then activate the Code on April 6th!

How Shamans Dream the World into Being - Alberto Villoldo, PhD
Whether we realize it or not, we are all constantly “dreaming the world into being.” The dreamtime, the underlying creative matrix, infuses all matter and energy, connecting every creature, ray of light or bit of cosmic dust. This power to “dream” while awake is the power to participate in creation itself. It is a duty we must perform with grace and love so that our grandchildren inherit a world of peace and abundance. But when we’re unaware of this awesome responsibility, mired in limiting beliefs and fears, our dreaming power slips away from us. The shamans of the Andes and the Amazon believe that we only access our full potential when we raise our level of consciousness and viscerally experience our dreaming power and our connection to Infinity in every cell of our body. In this highly experiential workshop we will learn how to enter this path, as we discover shamanic “journeying” techniques and ways to access deep levels of cosmic creativity. We will engage in powerful ceremonies and rites of passage that increase the vibration of our luminous energy fields and help us manifest far greater personal and global health, abundance and peace.

Rhythm is the Cure; Ritual Dance, Music and Chant with Alessandra Belloni
Southern Italian folk dances and rituals are joyous forms of music and dance therapy that are a source of healing. In this workshop, we’ll learn ancient Neapolitan chants used to invoke the healing power of the sun and to honor the Black Madonna as a form of prayer to request miracles and healing in our lives. A central part of the workshop will be learning the Pizzica Tarantata, a healing dance that originated as a ritual to cure the mythical bite of the tarantula. In this workshop students will dance inside a circle of tambourine players. Each student in this workshop will take a turn inside the circle, learning the fast steps and wild rhythms of the Pizzica. Part of the ritual takes place on the floor—on a white sheet, surrounded by red ribbons—and the dance involves spider-like movements, as if emerging from a spider web. We’ll also learn the Tammurriata, a sensual dance from Naples, and a Calabrian spinning dance similar to trance-inducing movements of Sufi dances. We’ll experience how movement, dance, drumming and music help us to release anxiety and stress, relax sexual blocks and open the heart to receive, and the throat to express, bringing the mind and body into a total state of relaxation. Note: Participants will be barefoot. Women should wear skirts, and, if possible, everyone should wear white clothes. Tambourines will be provided, but you may bring your own.
