FOOD THAT RAWKS”: LemonAide! Part of the back yard RawBQ recipe series.
As more beach balls and flippers fill the aisles of your favorite grocery store, and more health food markets boast about having the best summer, super food quencher, I invite you to seriously think twice before you buy a powdered drink off the shelf. Making your own replenishing, thirst quencher from scratch will not only reward the party you host but benefit the health of all who partake of your healing, refreshing nectar.More…
Technically in the berry family, lemons load you up with Vit. C, help with digestion, and are a general cleanser for our intestinal tract. Although they may seem acidic, lemons actually alkalize the body.
A few glasses of LemonAid on a hot summers day, keeps the body hydrated and ready for the heat!
LemonAid Yields 1 8 c pitcher
1 ½ c agave nectar or 4 TB raw honey (or 3 droppers of Vanilla Cream stevia)
2 c freshly squeezed lemon juice
6 c cool pure water.
Place everything in the blender, turn it on quickly, then pour into decorative pitcher.
Add a few slices of lemon and springs of mint.
Tune in next week for jica-no-potato salad top add to your Raw-BQ.
